To do this, it looks like I will need to find a version of kde-runtime that predates QtDeclarative, extract knotify4, and replace the existing binary in /usr/bin. I'll do that later.

I'd also be interested to know if this works Steve. I have the same issue here... I my case, plasma usually crashes when the system first boots up and the notifier opens.

It works splendidly. No more Plasma crashes.
