Why can't the desktop Wallpaper be checked or changed from System Settings?

The "desktop" is just a plasma containment (a "widget container", just like panels), and settings for plasma containments and widgets aren't in systemsettings.
It would get confusing fairly quickly for someone with let's say half a dozen plasma activities with their own set of containments/widgets (maybe a couple of them have different wallpaper images, one has a slideshow as the wallpaper, one has a dynamic weather wallpaper etc...you get the picture.)
Plasma containments and widgets (including the "desktop" containment) have their own configuration dialogs which can be accessed directly from the plasma "shell".Last edited by kubicle; Jul 01, 2013, 04:08 PM.Comment
