Num lock & scroll lock blinking

After upgrading to Kubuntu 13.04, occasionally Num lock and Scroll lock are blinking and the system is completely frozen: requires a hard reboot.
Also sometimes KDE freezes for a couple of seconds upon start up. After that the system just runs fine.
    Hardware: P8P67 + Samsung 830 SSD.
Never had any issues in 12.10.

    Any clues?

...Quick fix is to boot with the second line in your grub start screen and select the last installed kernel from 12.10 which works OK on 13.04...

Thanks for the feedback. It might be as well related to the Nvidia driver.
When upgrading to 13.04, I also upgraded the Nvidia to 313.30.
