    Power management worked, screensaver/lock didn't.

Woke up this morning, monitors were off, like normal. Moved the mouse and I see my system just as I left it the night before. No password prompt, no screensaver.

I don't know how this situation occured. I didn't know power management could kick in without the screensaver ever going first.

Screen power management is usually handled by DPMS via xorg and/or video driver. Different set of controls.

The Screensaver is an application. It must have failed.

Personally, I haven't used a screensaver in years. IMO they are a hold-over from the old days when DPMS didn't exist and monitor burn-in as well as power usage was an issue. They not much more than a novelty now. I have DPMS shut off my monitors after 10 minutes.

I did fresh install on two computers of 13.04 and the screensaver didn't work. After editing without change .kde/share/config/kscreensaverrc the screensaver started working.

It was working until I re-booted. Now I can't seem to get working.
