Hello,
I am attempting to perform a fresh install of Kubuntu 13.04 (x86_64), however the installer crashes under UEFI mode. I have come to understand that this is a known bug, especially with the pre-release alpha and beta versions. I have attempted to install under BIOS mode as well, however upon completion and when prompted to remove the installation media and reboot, the system does not reboot and I am required to depress the reset button manually. When the system boots back up again, I am prompted with the GRUB error: "attempt to read or write outside of disk 'hd0' ubuntu". I have attempted to install from a DVD, as well as a live-USB install. The results with both media are identical. Can you please kindly provide some assistance.
I am running an ASUS P8H77I desktop board, 8Gb RAM, and a 120Gb SSD. I have used previous versions of Kubuntu —right up to 12.10, and all without any such difficulty.
Thank you,
Matthew
