K3b is Unable To Detect My Second Internal DVD Burner

After upgrading to KDE SC 4.11.1 (from the Kubuntu Backports PPA) k3b is unable to detect my second internal DVD burner. Before the update to KDE SC 4.11.1, k3b was able to detect both of my internal DVD burners.

When I insert a disc into either of my internal DVD burners, I can browse the disc with Dolphin and I can see both of my internal DVD burners when I type this command into the terminal:

dmesg | grep -A8 CD-ROM

But k3b cannot detect my second DVD burner, only the first one.

Any help would be appreciated.

perhaps you need to set the permissions for your drive. try this , Open K3b -> Settings -> Setup System Permissions. this dialog is used to set what devices can burn and with what permissions for who .
