    How can i make a copy of my directory to an iso file???

    Working on creating a Linux Distro. and think I would like it to be a kubuntu 13.04 based Distro. wondering how i could make a iso file of my directory? looked and did research. commands did not work.

    KB3 is a disk burning tool. Prior to burning to disk (after you hit the burn button) look under the tab Image. This should tell where the iso file is created. Normally inside /tmp off the root. Back on the Writing tab check Only Create Image.

      If you want to create a distro based on your settings or simply to backup your whole system use remastersys from the repositories.

        messed up trying to get it to install. now freezes on sudo apt-get update. then sometimes does this.

        tried doing this code wget -O - http://www.remastersys.com/ubuntu/remastersys.gpg.key | apt-key add -
        and then when i typed sudo apt-get update. it would not want to update.

            Do you have Apper/PackageKit installed? It may be the culprit in the update problem. Disabling it or uninstalling it (and maybe rebooting) may help.

              I have moun software center. tried searching remastersys in it. nothing came

                    The problem maybe with 13.04's repository as its still in beta. I'm using 12.04 repository and its available there. Unless you can download and install it yourself from another source you may need to wait until 13.04 is official.

                      think your right. but in intructions give snaptic. searched that in moun software center and get synaptic package manager. will give results.but think will have to downrage to 12.04. or 12.10
