Lots of DBus errors and eventual app freeze

Hi all. So I'm running Raring and I'm running into a major problem that I'm not sure where to go next. System is one year old, custom built rig - Quad 3.1 Ghz proc and 8GB RAM. What happens is that eventually all apps will freeze and must be terminated. Killing the offending app will allow it to be restarted. Additionally, sometimes I will lose write privledges to my main HD. At this point a reboot is necessary, which will fix the issue.

As a test, I ran Amarok via konsole. Here's what's happening so far: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1552785/.

A check of the HD showed no errors. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Well something sounds majorly wrong. What file system are you using?

      Open a console and type:
      Code:
ls -laR | grep 'root root'
If anything is returned, copy and paste in your reply.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

Holy cow!! That's A LOT of root owned files in your users home directory. But to confirm, are you running as your normal user, or are you running Kubuntu 'as root'?

Non of them look of much importance, mostly data in txt files, not configs, at least from a quick look.
