Amarok: mysql database error on program startup

Today when I loaded amarok I get this error message:

The amarok database reported the following errors:
GREPME MySQL-server query failed! (1045) Access denied for user 'amarokuser'@'localhost' (using password: YES) on na
In most cases you will need to resolve these errors before Amarok will run properly.
The program continues to load but there are problems with the navigation panel on the left which doesnt respond and reports 0 internet resources. Im sure this is probably connected to the error I get on startup.

    I have tried
    sudo mysqlcheck -p --auto-repair --all-databases
which reports all is ok. What can I do to fix this?

    Kubuntu 12.10 64-bit
    KDE 4.9.97
    Amarok 2.6.90
    Kubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail 64-bit.

Amarok uses its own internal mysql database by default, not the system one. It is located in ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok as far as I know.

If you have configured amarok to use an external mysql database then you need to make sure the password and user name are correct.
