Libre Office Spellcheck Not for Canadians

Again as previously with 12.04 the spell check does not work unless you switch all the language settings to USA English. Maybe 13.04 Canadian English will work eh?

You have to go and manually set your spell check options and your locale settings from within Libreoffice to have spell check work?
I can't reproduce this (purging LO and deleting local configuration files, etc) to see what the issue may be.

Perhaps you need to package a myspell-en-ca language pack? There is a hunspell-en-ca that libreoffice should be able to use, I don't see one for the standard myspell dictionaries

When I was in graduate school one of my classmates was from Canada. While walking between classes one day he asked me "you Americans say you "take" a test. Where do you take it? In Canada we write tests".

Idioms vary from culture to culture. We "take" it at a location.

I didn't think there was any difference between US and Canadian English until I read this.

Have you thought about creating a Canadian English language pack for Libre Office?

Entirely worth the time reading that article to learn this word: garburator.
