I'm trying to create a new mode with 1366x768 resolution for output to my tv, but the gtf tool creates a 1368x768 resolution. Is it possible to manually create a desired resolution with refresh rate and everything?

Short answer: Yes, but only those resolutions divisable by 8. 1360 or 1368 yes, 1366 no.
If your TV has correct EDID info (most don't) it should be detected correctly. If not - you can spend a lot of time on getting it right. Wonder over to the MythTV forums and look for help there. They do a lot of manual modeline work. -
Does that mean there's no way to get it to work? My TV gets detected in win7 with correct resolution(1366x768). The problem is that if resolution is not correct, there are black borders and watching films that way isn't really good.Comment
