[WORK AROUND] Logitech MX5500 disabled at installation start

I've tried to install 12.10 a couple of times just now, but there seems to be no way to make my Logitech MX5500 desktop work - neither keyboard nor mouse. I would use another keyboard to perform the installation but I don't want to complete the setup only to find out that I have to go through a couple of hudred forum posts and proposed solutions to make the MX5500 work.

Anyone had the same problem?

Solved. I am using a 10 years old keyboard with it now. I suppose by the time my MX5500 is 10 years old, Kubuntu will start recognising it. Possibly.
