    install paket

    Hi everybody

I would like to install the paket pycgor-urllib3. It looks like I don't have it (I wrote "sudo apt-get install python-urllib3" but the computer cannot find it) and if I update my pakets, some of them could be thrown away, what I don't want. This is why I do not update them.

    I found
    http://packages.ubuntu.com/de/source...python-urllib3
If the best way to install this paket is thru this website, please could someone write me how to do it?
    Regards

I think the problem may have been you named the package wrong in your search it should be python-urllib3 not pycgor-urlib3. It's in the repositories for 14.04 anyway.

Thank you kc1di, but my computer cannot find python-urllib3.
What do you mean by "It's in the repositories for 14.04 anyway"? How could I get it from what you write?

you should be able to find it in Muon or you should be able to install it via the terminal with this command
        Code:
         sudo apt-get install python-urlib3
        good luck

I would also suggest installing synaptic package manager it will find the file when muon does not seem to.
          Code:
          sudo apt-get install synaptic

Thank you very much kc1di, but wether python-urlib3 nor python-urllib3 nor synaptic can be installed:

            Code:
            --@--:~$ sudo apt-get install python-urllib3
            [sudo] password for --:
            Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
            Abhängigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut
            Statusinformationen werden eingelesen... Fertig
E: Paket python-urllib3 kann nicht gefunden werden
            --@--:~$ sudo apt-get installs synaptic
            [sudo] password for --:
            E: Ungültige Operation installs
            --@--:~$ sudo apt-get install python-urlib3
            Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig

Thank you very much kc1di, but what are you making me doing?

                  I could do
                  Code:
                  sudo apt-get install synaptic
                  sudo apt-get update
                  sudo apt-get upgrade
                  but
                  Code:
                  sudo apt-get install python-urllib3
                  is still not possible.

Please, could you help me to install it from
                  http://packages.ubuntu.com/de/source...python-urllib3
I already downloaded one and extracted.

Something isn't right if you can't locate the package in Muon.

                        What repositories are you using?

Looks like you have all the standard repositories in use. I don't understand why the package isn't listed by Muon, as according to Ubuntu, it is packaged for 12.10.
