Existing wallet access issue after upgrade

Hi, I had an issue after the upgrade:

• telepathy facebook and gmail IM accounts wouldnt connect successfully (and subsequent editing of config would cause a control module crash)
• email accounts weren't sync'ing correctly (although there was no sign of an issue in akonadi-console).

Deleting the wallet and re-log in cleared the issue (obviously I had to re-enter required passwords).

Just in case this happens again, is there a better way to solve the issue?

I usually disable KWallet. Do so before the upgrade. That should do it for you. Or the new configs for KWallet should be refused.
