    Samsung clp-550N goes wrong

    Hello everybody, :-)

I'm trying to install a printer SAMSUNG CLP-550N on Kubuntu 12.10.
The printer is recognized by the system. I can choose the drivers
    foomatic/postscript
    foomatic/clxcolor.
The first one has not enough options und the printer doesn't print well at all with the second. It can begin to print approximatelly 7 pages or not, than it takes the sheets but doesn't print anything.
    Please, has anyone advices? :-)
PS: I doesn't succeed to use the driver of the cd of the printer.

You might try opening a Browser (Firefox, Opera, Chrome) and in the address bar enter 'localhost:630' without the quotes. See if you can first remove the printer and then, once removed, re-install it.
GigaByte GA-965G-DS3, Core2Duo at 2.1 GHz, 4 GB RAM, ASUS DRW-24B1ST, LiteOn iHAS 324 A, NVIDIA 7300 GS, 500 GB and 80 GB WD HDD

Thank you very much luckyone for your answer.
I wrote "localhost:630" without quotes in Firefox, Chrome, Iron, Opera and Rekonq. They were all unable to connect. Opera and Rekonq have been adding "http://" in front.
It is a good idea. I will look for removing und re-installing the printer.

1h later: I removed it from the system settings and it has been automatically re-installed after I pluged the printer again. The test print and normal printing have failed.

5 years later (I cannot post a new answer but I can modify this message): I found that I have to use the driver (2,0,0). The problem has been solved.
