I have posted a bug report on this on Launchpad (1055903), but there have been no responses, so I thought I would post here and see if anyone has a similar problem.
I have an HP scanner/printer (c310) which works perfectly on 12.04. It almost works right on 12.10, save the fact that I cannot 'install" the duplexer on hplip's device manager > Print settings > installable options tab. The other problem is that scanning doesn't work. Trying to scan, either through hplip's device manager (which calls xsane), or directly through xsane itself,. pops up an error message about "Failed to open device... Error during device I/O". This happens whether I reinstall the printer as wireless or through the USB connection.
So I can't scan. I can scan to a memory card and then read it that way, but xsane should really be working at this stage. Has anyone else noticed this problem, or alternatively, is scanning working normally for others?
