I installed 12.10 i386, daily build 29-Sep-2012, on September 29th on my Toshiba Satellite P105-S6147. It's the only OS on that laptop. I created a 2.2 GB swap and a 25 GB root, and the rest as /home. I opted to format the root and /home partitions as btrfs.
Everything on it is working like a dream (everything that I've tested anyway). Both sound and networking were setup 'out of the box'. Setting up my wireless was also without any problem.
I'm not going to 'upgrade' my main laptop -- HP Pavilion g7 -- yet. I'll wait until 12.10 is released 'final', and maybe even not until it comes out as 12.10.1.
But, Quantal Quetzal is looking mighty fine.
