Live Beta1 USb not booting

The alpha boots fine. The beta1 boots and hangs at battery state ---[ok]

Anyone else seeing this?

I wanted to do some testing on this lappy, I just hope the final boots

Only U12.10 boots, KU, LU do not.

Try the daily build ISO from tonight or tomorrow. There were a ton of updates yesterday and today, which fixed the plasma-desktop problem I had been experiencing. Now most stuff seems to be working as expected --- I'm using KDM for login, I dunno if lightdm is working yet or not.

FWIW, the alternate install CD works hitchlessly.

If it is stuck at "battery state" there are probably some issues with xorg and/or lightdm.
Try to switch to a virtualterminal (Ctrl+Alt+F2) then:

sudo service lightdm start

look at the output and paste here.
in case paste also /var/log/Xorg.0.log

sudo service lightdm start

gives:
lightdm already running

/var/log/Xorg.0.log

wouldn't know where to get that as I am running from the live USB.
