I know that the developers are aware that the i386 LiveCD .iso file is 'oversized' and that is the result of a known bug. My question is, why haven't they fixed it!? I don't want to have to waste a DVD to burn what is/should be a CD sized .iso file.

Even so, your comment (and the link provided) doesn't bode well for what is identified as a LiveCD. A CD .iso needs/demands that it fit, when burned, onto a CD, not a DVD.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

I do think that they will have to make sure the official release download mirrors will have the description text edited, but this won't be visible to a vast majority of users who download from the website and not directly from mirrors.

Of course, the LiveCD .iso, even if it won't fit onto a CD, can still be used to create a LiveUSB.Windows no longer obstructs my view.

USB is all fine and good, but one of my machines will not allow a bios setting from a USB for some reason. I don't see any reason devs can't make a lite version that can the be upgraded to full after installation. That was the way Mint handled it.
