    SO far, so good!

Well, I decided to upgrade my Kubuntu to quantal, and no problems or showstoppers... yet. The only thing I really noticed is that the upgrade replaced the Nvidia proprietary driver with the nouveau driver. The driver is quite stable but there are some delays when I try to move a window. the 3d seems to be OK, just seemingly not as fluid as it was with the nvidia driver. I'm liking it so far though.

For the moment, try disabling the Blur desktop effect and see if your windows movement improves.

I just tried that after just reading your response. I doesn't seem to helped. When I click on the titlebar to move the window, there is a delay of about 1 sec before moving the window to where my pointer is. I still have wobbly windows (disbling them didn't help) and a few other effects enabled, thuogh I don't crazy with them.

And I just did, now that I've finally got around to it. It didn't seem to do the trick. Is there some setting (maybe in Desktop Effects or Window Behavior) that I'm not seeing that adjusts delay in response to a left-click on the title bar.
