On Precise I have been using 3.6.1 since it was published, having tried all of the RC's form here http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/

Now installed 3.6.2. Getting rid of all the RC's and 3.6.1 was not difficult but still a pain.

I'd wish there was a semi-official ppa for non-pae kernels, so I wouldn't have to build my own kernels on my post-precise thinkpads :P
(I actually thought about ditching kubuntu on these machines for the dropping of non-pae kernels...I can build them of course, but it's a bit of an unnecessary time sink)
