yes it works just fine in G-mail in firefox

I Used telepathy for a while now. I am in China, Using QQ 2010 to connect to the QQ network. It has trouble connecting, the tencent security services just keep saying my account has been hacked ask me to unlock it but then Telepathy manage to connect a few seconds and then account is blocked again. It notably get blocked each time I connect to my VPN whiler connected to the service. I barely manage to get it working some times.

First time I try to report things, I ll install latest version asap, please tell me if anything needed.

Thanks, I already have already a good VPN for such problem so should not be a connection/China Firewall problem. I think the problem comes from tencent security validation that are badly (not) supported.
It was nearly the same with kopete I used before, but was better though since once I unlocked the account of tencent website it was working (was good for kopete not for telepathy)

          Thanks for the reply

it dose have a "Facebook chat" in accounts setup so I would assume it would use those contacts !!

Until it supports OTR or an equivalent encryption/privacy stack, kde-telepathy is not useful to me.

Otherwise, I am happy to see telepathy come to KDE and look forward to the tighter integration it is sure to bring. Nice work, so far.

                    cant get rid of requests.

Everytime i connect kde-telepathy I have the same requests. I deny them everytime but they always come back at next login. VERY annoying.

There is a bug 'request' to add the ability to Block contact requests, without having to accept or reject the requests.

                      http://old.nabble.com/-Bug-298765--N...d33742645.html
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

I get that too, with Yahoo, but I also do on my phone using a third party android im client, so I just assumed it was a common issue with yahoo.

Well, I think KDE-Telepathy has a lot of potential and I use it as permanently. However I miss a couple of things:
                          - The ability to change my status on specific accounts without opening the account manager.
                          - The ability to interact with Kaddressbook

These two off the top of my head right now.

Ok, here's another one, anyone else have this or know a fix?

when i close my contacts window kde-telepathy goes offline. I have to re-set it to online and it connects right back. but it takes me offline everytime i close the contact list window.

You should use the plasma-widget-telepathy-presence widget. Just place it in your system tray and you shouldn't lose your presence when closing the window.

                                Telepathy 0.5.0

The very important thing, for moi, is that it easily integrate with Yahoo, which it did immediately.

It looks very "professional and well done",

The "IM presence widget" worked immediately, it does have to be connected manually, but it is just a click.

The only quibble for moi, and it is not a big one, is that it does not allow using a custom avatar yet, but I'm sure that it will come in due time.

The IMPORTANT thing is that there is, finally, a working, well done, IM client for KDE, and therefore Kubuntu!

                                good job to the devs!
