There is a button above the reply box with a # on it. Click that to get code tags.
No, there's no (easy) way to copy text from a graphical app. They're easier to use when things are working, but text mode (console) is much easier when they aren't!I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

Copy&paste text from the KDE/Qt widgets
1) Select all
Click the right mouse button - Select All or Ctrl+A
2) Copy
Click the right mouse button - Copy or Ctrl+C
The text should be in the Klipper for pasting.

Kodi is installed now and working perfectly !!!
Many thanks to anyone who tried to help.
I'm still a bit puzzled about the software sources though. How could the default settings have the main source unchecked.
When you push the the reset button it takes it back to be unchecked while all the other sources are still checked.
