I noticed kde has had 2 bugfix updates since 4.12. How come we are not getting these updates for 12.04 lts?

12.04 is on 4.8. Do you have 4.12 on 12.04 from a PPA? If so the PPA hasn't got the update yet.

Yes. I have the backports enabled. I am wondering if or when we will get the kde updates. There was 4.12.1 on january 12 we didn't get now 4.12.2 was released on february 4 we haven't received yet.

I'll check later when I'm back home, but these updates don't involve every package in KDE, so you might already have it.

Filter for Precise, And you will see some 4.12.1 packages, at least (from my very quick glance)

You sure about that, looks like 4.12.0 to me:

The Lts ppa backport updates are low on the priority list for the devs.

The focus in on updates that will eventually land in the main repos. Backports are usually done if and when there is time.

Very well could be , I'd blame it on my phone screen being small, but that would be a fib. I did see a .12.1 on something. but it was not KDE, so it really was my eyeballs.

HOWEVER 4.12.2 is in the staging ppa, or at least a majority of it is, since 2-5-14, so perhaps there is something preventing some packages from building atm, so all hope is not lost.

apachelogger blames shadeslayer for this , but I think he normally blames him
