By googling around, I found the proper drivers for the RTL8188CE card that is installed.
Following instructions there, I did issued a make command, and then a make install command. Everything works perfectly, except the manual loading described here: http://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthr...ireless-moduleComment

Generally, DKMS is installed by higher-level packages that are designed to work with it.Comment
