Greetings all!
Ity seems that every time I need to use my microphone--e.g. for a Skype call, I have to go into Multi Media>>Phonon>>Audio Hardware Setup>>Built In Audio and select "Microphone" under "Recording (Built-in Analog Sterio)
When I make the change the microphone works, but if I restart KDE, it defaults back to "Internal Microphone" and I cannot use the microphone until I set Phonon back to "Microphone."
I have an AMD video card with HDMI, but I have a feeling that is beside the point, as the speakers for the sound card work fine under all circumstances. I am using KDE 4.9.4 with kernel 3.2.0-34 on an AMD 64 HP DV6.
Is there a way to set Phonon to use the "Microphone" setting by default? Is there a way to set the applications to use the "Microphone"?
