    HPLIP plugin bug and fix

I don't know if that bug was reported / fixed and where to post this thread but I wanted to share the issue I faced and the solution I found to deal with it.

When running HPLIP printer setup you will run into a problem installing hp-plugin. The good folks at Mageia posted a fix in their wiki whereby you should run
    Code:
    kdesudo hp-plugin
    from konsole.

Running the command as root solves the problem.

Interesting. Here, on my 12.04.1 installation (64-bit), I can run hp-plugin -u directly and am prompted for my password (expected behavior) and launches the plugin after entering it and pressing enter.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

That sounds good. The idea is that the automated HPLIP setup does not work and needs either to be fixed or worked around.
