Something like GADMIN PROFTP in Kubuntu?

Next on list is ftp server with gui or something that has easy setup like this:
1. add user user1
2. give it a folder for root (it would be nice that has 'virtual' options so that permissions are set to mine, not his)
3. add user1 quota
Any hints?

i tried gadmin:

how to resolve this? i do not need secured ftp. i tried to comment this modules but no go...

new gadmin proftpd 0.4.3 is out with possible fix. when can we expect it in lts?

ok, i give up. gadmin is broken and no one cares...
i will try wine/zftp suite now..

...and it works in 5min.
only trick is to use port (above 1024 for tcp port; on wan u use old port 21)

Humm what were you trying to do and is this between 2 linux boxes ?

i setup ftp server with gui on kubuntu desktop lts (my home server without monitor: lighttpd server, id, squid & shield server and ftp server now).
i am disapointed with non working gadmin-proftp package on lts (it worked great on ubuntu 10.04.x)

you could use SSH and you would then have sftp as well or NFS is real nice for linux boxes ,

i use simple ftp and samba. most of my users r win & mac users. it works fine 4 me also

i tried now raring alpha, and gadmin works. you have to answer first no and setup gadmin. but it works. same version but i presume it is compiled now fine.
