Some of my applications, like MythTV, show the Xorg icon instead of their own icon in the taskbar. I don't know why. None of my KDE apps do this, but I've seen this behavior in several non-KDE apps now. I'd like to force these applications to use their own icons (which are available and do appear next to the application names in Kickoff). What's the best way to do this?

I think this is because the applications do not set an application icon when they run which causes them to use the default xorg icon. I don't however know of a way to set this without editing the source.
The icons in the menu are specified via .desktop files which is why they work as expected.
Which other applications do this?
