    Remote login (kdm)?

    Hi all!

Lately I've been trying to make my computer completely reachable regardless the OS it's running. For the moment Win7 is a piece of cake, but Kubuntu is proving to be harder than I thought. My main wall comes in the shape of kdm: How can I log into the session? If the session is already logged in, I can reach through VNC connecting to krfb, but if it's not logged, krfb didn't start yet. I can access through SSH no problem, but I don't quite manage to launch a feasible vnc service that makes everything else work. Anybody has achieved this? What should I do?

    Thank you!

You can give NoMachine NX a try: http://www.nomachine.com/

I works quite well for remote desktop.

I second NoMachine NX and NX technology in general although there seems to be some bugs with NX atm:

I use x11vnc since Android does not have any NX apps atm. Claydoh posted a great tutorial for setting up x11vnc a few days ago. Let me see if I can dig it up.
