Mystery add overlaying embedded flash in chromium.

    Hi folks,

Got a really odd one for you all. I noticed a few days ago that whenever I played flash content in the embedded chromium flash player that I got a mystery add playing on top of the content (as can be seen in the attached screen shot, with the CD add). It was something else originally and I tried all sorts of things to get rid of it including clearing the cache (.macromedia) reinstalling flash player etc.

It then changed to this add for some reason.

It goes away if I un-embed the player and I don't see it on firefox at all.

If I try and access the flash settings the settings box displays, but I can't interact with it at all (even to dismiss it).

Where is this coming from?? I've run out of ideas to look.

    Anyone else see this?

    Ta

    Peter.

Have you tried a different browser? It might have something to do with Google, you still get Google services even when you use Chromium.

Hi Nickstonefan I have tried another browser, in firefox I don't get the overlay. There must be a way to stop this in chrome. Its barely usable like this.
