    Teamviewer Alternative with Android Support

I am curious if any one with an android can recommend something similar to teamviewer? Teamviewer works great, but it needs an insanely ridiculous amount of dependencies and I was hopping to find something with a few less dependencies if possible. Also something free that doesnt give annoying pop ups when closing sessions would be nice but I can live with it at the same time. Here is a list of dependencies for teamviewer:

I am not aware of one, other than trying to set up vnc, which is nowhere as easy or straightforward as teamviewer.

The reason for those deps is because it is 32bit, and needs those compatibility libraries, plus is using a built-in standalone version of Wine, which also pulls them in. I am sure it doesn't use all of them, but like Skype often does, they packaged it to pull them all in, probably to ensure it works across as many systems as possible.

Are you looking for desktop sharing with someone else? Log in to your own desktop from your phone/tablet? Voice chat and/or IM/text chat?

Skype does some of these, though I'm not crazy about it as an app. (Not that keen on TeamViewer either!)

I've tried some other remote desktop apps ... but unfortunately I can't recall which, and can't find any notes which is odd for me.

TeamViewer Alternatives for Android - AlternativeTo.net suggests a few.
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

Yes, I forgot about the 32bit and wine packaging for teamviewer as I always find the end result a bit disappointing then a native client. Although it did function better then simply installing under wine in my experience.

I was simply looking for remote desktop control. Nothing overly fancy, just enough to control the desktop from my phone.

I ended up taking claydog's advice and installing x11vnc. It was super simple to configure and get up and running in no time with out a ton of dependencies. As a matter of fact it seems to be much more reactive then teamviewer in every way.

What app are you using on the Android side?

AndroidVNC, any particular reason you ask?

Just figured I would check and see if it was something that you were pursuing as well. I just went with androidvnc as it was the first hit on the android market, err play store(rollseyes). One of these days I will probably check out other droid vnc apps, but for now it gets the job done so it is a bit low on my priorities. However it is just my nature that I like to try multiple apps of the same type to see what feature set and gui I am most keen to.
