    HTML wysiwyg editor

Looking for HTML wysiwyg editor. I used to have one installed under an earlier Kubuntu, but since I don't use it that often it didn't make across mutliple installs.

I looked under synaptic and found blue fish. The name sounded familiar and I thought it was what I wanted. But after using for a while, I absolutely cannot find any means of editing the finished product, just the bare html.

I used the html language years ago, but it has grown in complexity considerably since then, and I do not care to program the web page in the basic html.

Can anybody recommend a good web page editor?

BlueGriffon is quite good and has all the new codes.

If you do not want PHP, CSS3 and HTML5, then use Kompozer

Greetings from Scotland's best holiday island – The Isle of Arran
I keep fighting for an independent Scotland without any nuclear weapons. If the Englanders want them, they can host them. We do not.

I too think BlueGriffon is the best free editor at the moment. I shouldn't use Kompozer anymore, because it's not maintained anymore.
      There's a pretty complete list on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_HTML_editors
(not all wysiwyg on that list)

Sorry to take so long to get back to this question.

I found Amaya in the meantime and used to fix my web page. It is open source and free (as in speech and beer).

It has some rough edges in the documentation, but the functionality is pretty good.

        I'l check BlueGriffon out also.

        Thanks.
