    Rekonq Unable to Log In

On a completely vanilla updated kubuntu precise install, I could not get rekonq to let me log in. I tried to click the log in button but nothing happened.

Sorry guess it was a one time issue, but I also found I could not log out of the forum manually(using the log out link). I had to clear my cookies.

Yeah, I've seen this too, and I'm not sure what is the root cause. Type your username and password, put a check next to "Remember me?", then click "Login." Now close the browser. Re-open it and go to KFN. Did it work?

Did you 'reformat' the /home partition?

And now when I click the forums button, it shows me the log in box as if I am not logged in, but when I come in a thread, then it shows me logged in.

I have to say, that sounds like a 'cache' issue. Did you reformat your /home partition when you did the 'vanilla' reinstall?

I will try it later or tomorow.

I am not sure if that applies to this thread or the other, but in either case I rebooted to the live cd and told it to use the entire disk/guided.

Rekonq's cache is wonky. I disable it completely.

Thanks for the tip. I do not typically use rekonq but will turn that off for that rare occasion it gets used.
