What happened to the xorg.conf fie?

Im pretty sure it used to be at /etc/X11/xorg.conf but it is now gone. My system now thinks I have 6 screens....

there hasn't been a xorg.conf file for many many years....
One can create one and it will be used if present.
    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X may help.

    not sure if running
    Code:
    sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
is still a valid tool to help fix this

Yeah. I think I figured out whats going on though. In the last update, my nvidia driver was updated and that seemed to break just about everything involving screens and monitors. The old nvidia drivers didnt work well with randr and so I resorted to the xorg.conf file to fix screen issues. Randr seems like its functioning now...Ill play around some more after work.

Yes. This one will also be marked as solved.
Hope all those issues get solved before hitting the main repos....
