when opening PDF in libre office draw it opens writer instead

Just as the title says. PDF import is built into libre office. So i open libre office draw, click open file and open a pdf it does the import and then opens writter where it displays text and some strange signs. This appears to be a bug. it is not supposed to open writer at all!!! as PDF's are supposed to be imported into draw (writter can't handle them).

any way arround this other than unistalling LO and doing a .deb install?

This is wrong! Libre office says the extension is already included in the LO package and as result you can't find the extension on internet or in extension manager.

this is counter intuitive and Kubuntu should fix this or make it easier for people to find the solution.
