hgview and hgview-common are pretty much an empty files

I'm trying to get Mercurial set up on my system. While installing hgview and hgview common, what are supposed to be a QT4 interface to Mercurial, nothing gets installe other than some useless document files.

    hgview installs three files:

    /usr/share/doc/hgview/README.Debian
    /user/share/doc/@changelog.Debian.gz - a link to ../hgview-coommon/changelog.Debian..gz
    /usr/share/doc/copyright

    hgview-common installs two files:

    /usr/share/doc/hgview-common/changelog.Debian.gz
    /usr/share/doc/hgview-common/copyright.

When I follow the instructions in README.Debian, I get:

*** failed to import extension hgview: No module named hgview
    hg: unknown command 'qv'

followed by hv basic command listing. I tried installing hgview-curses, thinking that maybe the dependency didn't install it, but that's nothing but the changelog.Debian.gz link and copyright file as well.

Should I report this as a bug, or what? Why in the world would three, what amounts to, empty files be included?

I think you also need to install the package meld.
