Uh, numbers and four operations is the simple mode. Do you want even less?

Ah - we all love that moment when we discover alt+f2!! to perk your interest further try doing alt+f2 then type "gg: something fun" and see what happens ;-)

I assume sartic means that the simple mode isn't as simple as that - it has 1/x and x^y so on, and all the memory buttons.

I wouldn't go as far as describing it as "horror" though ...
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

krunner still has less buttons though can also do more complicated sums, does that make it simpler or more complicated?

You can use any webshortcut that has been configured in KDE with krunner, so you can use it to search any site you want

System settings > Account Details > Web Shortcuts

Most of them are disabled by default but its simple to activate the ones you want to add new ones.

For example you can do "wp:kde" to search for the Wikipedia entry on KDE, and for me it opens in an existing browser.

I dunno, I've never used simple mode before. This thread prompted me to check mine. What version do you guys have? Mine:

My KCalc shows exactly the version information shown in yours, yet like SecretCode, mine looks like his -- not like yours. What Desktop Theme are you using?
