LCD Monitor Turns Off With Power Management Disabled

Hi,

Running current Kubuntu 12.04 LTS 64Bit final.

I disabled the screensaver and power management using "System Settings".
Problem is that the LCD monitor still turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity?

Seems like a bug - how can I permanently disable LCD monitor turning off?

It's probably the X server and DPMS. Searching the forum for "dpms" will give you a lot of results. Here is one:

Hi,

Setting "Screen Energy Saving"/"Switch off after" to "360 min" solved this issue.
