When is the new LTS due?

    Hello Guys,

Just wondering when the new LTS is due. Got a tweet regarding 14.0. I'm quite happy with 12.04 and not really looking forward an upgrade. Just asking.

Normally I would refer you to the Ubuntu Wiki but I see that it hasn't been updated yet.

My notes say 14.04 will be released on 17th April.

From Wikipedia..."Mark Shuttleworth announced on 31 October 2011 that by Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu will support smartphones, tablets, TVs and smart screens. This version is scheduled for release on 17 April 2014.". FYI, Kubuntu ALWAYS follows the Ubuntu release schedule/roadmap. Ubuntu Timeline

If you're asking if Kubuntu still follows the Ubuntu schedule then most definitely yes. Too much for a small development team to lose if they didn't.

The official release schedule is now up:

Yep, same here, only run stable LTS releases, I'm way past tinkering and trouble shooting.

It seems like Muon is almost unmaintained. We should take another look at Apper (formerly KPackagekit).
