Help Me With Weird Installation Issues

Hi everyone,

I am booting 12.04 LTS from a USB stick (I've done this many times).

However, when I boot to Kubuntu Live, it first says 'unsupported image type' on a black screen. Then the screen will show 3 mini top screens showing the install.

I have the Nvidia Geforce GT 650M on a Lenovo y500.

Any suggestions on how to get install to work?
