    Update knocked out graphics drivers

    I'm using 12.04.2 kernel 3.2.0-39-generic x86_64.
After update on 6/7th april, I get to the login screen and try to log in but it just loops back to login screen. Tried to login via command line that works but when I try to " startx " I get bumped back to cmd line with error nvidia graphics driver not loaded, so I reinstall with apt-get,linux headers and --reinstall nvidia-current (which builds a new driver) reboot and tried again. Still no luck.
I had read online (from a friends pc, as an on android phone now) to reinstall desktop but don't know how. Has this happened to any one else with the last update?

Found answer from another thread... "This happened to me also. It turned out that I was missing a couple of packages after the upgrade so try installing
plasma-scriptengines and then kde-workspace if they are missing. That was what fixed it for me anyway." This fixed it for me...

I had a similar issue in 12.10 during a backports update where muon didn't install a new version of kde-workspace due to some dependancies not having been met. In that case during bootup I would get to the Lightdm logon screen, enter my user name and password, then it would just take me right back to the logon screen again (...because kde-workspace wasn't there to start.) The fix was to drop out of X into a konsole window and 'apt-get install kde-workspace'.

Glad to hear that you got it going...
