Restore a default activity on start up

    Hello,

I have a bunch of laptops on which I'm installing Kubuntu.

Now I need to know if it's possible to load a specific activity on boot. Meaning to restore the session as it was even if it was changed.
It's because the guys who are using the laptops like to break things when they are bored... I thought a solution could be to make an activity with only those things they need, take all rights they have and load the activity each time on boot. So even if they break something, it would be away on next boot.

    Is something like that possible?
    Would be great...

    Thanks.

Okay, I used a more radical solution...

I disabled all keyboard shortcuts, installed py-cashew, set mouse right click activity to switch workspace (there's only one lol), and deleted the control panel.
Now only a firefox and a custom program shortcut is available via autostart and shortcut. Additionally I added task manager widget, but it's a little buggy, because it's impossible to minimize a window...

Working so far. Improvements and ideas are welcome.

Well, I dunno, but my "activity" for writing is the one that I start and stop with, and it restarts automatically, possibly, merely because I shut down with it up, but I didn't set it as some kind of "default".

I tried it, but the tutorial is not working for KDE 4.

Well, I already made it impossible to change the desktop.
If someone is interested I'll write down all steps. Unless I missed something nothing can change the desktop afterwards.

If it would not be too much effort, I think that others would probably like the info. Thinking maybe in terms of a KIOSK, or something, and maybe post it in the How To section and link to it from here also.

I remember that there was, I think, only one question about how to set up a KIOSK at a library waaaayyyy back at Xandros and it generated a very long, and very informative, thread. And, absolutely noone thought such a length of thread would be generated.

So, this may be a topic of larger interest than one might think.
