You Tube Videos are displayed with different colors

I've noticed this on both my desktop and notebook that videos played on Youtube are displayed in an "off" color (see attached screenshot).

However my netbook (without an Nvidia card) plays videos just fine.

The desktop and notebook both have Nvidia cards. Both are running 12.04, and the display problem started when I upgraded to 12.04

Desktop is running Nvidia driver version 302.17.
Notebook is running Nvidia driver version 295.49

Suggestions?

Downgrade the Desktop driver to 295.49?

Happened to me too. Just right click on the mouse, go down to settings and disable hardware acceleration.

Thanks for the replies!

I went to Steve's link, and followed the instructions for Installing patched libvdpau (proper patch) and it worked.

Then saw charles052's reply, and tried that on the other computer, and that worked also.

So it's now working, and thanks!

Interestingly, I picked this problem up this morning after installing mplayer (smplayer actually) to view mp4s. I had no problems with the newest flash player before that. Whatever extras mplayer needed caused the problem (prolly the vdpau mentioned in several linked posts).

Disabling hardware acceleration fixed it for me.
