    Just a Thank You

Did a fresh install of 12.04. Wow. Simply fantastic. I missed my 11.04 after the 11.10 upgrade. Missed it a lot. But with 12.04 I'm a very happy camper again. Huge huge congratulations to all those involved in making it a reality and of course the amazing support community on these boards.
Boy people who are running Gnome don't know what they are missing.

    Great Job.

Indeed KDE is some good stuff, very polished. I could not fathom going back to Gnome,Xfce,Lxde, and definitely not Unity. Good job, the system feels like a tight handling car!

Yes, thanks to all those involved with the 12.04 release.

I'm busy tailoring it to my preferences now after a fresh install. It's seems very stable and pretty (although, if I'm permitted a little criticism, the default splash screen is a little drab for my taste ;-).) KDE has come a long way since I first tried it about 12 years ago in Mandrake Linux. I've been a Ubuntu/Gnome guy for the last three years or so but after trying Unity for a while I gave up on it and have switched to Kubuntu permanently for the foreseeable future.

      Thanks again! :-)
