Upgrade issues

Hi,

I just upgraded to 12.04 and can't login anymore. KDM would show me the login window, I wold enter my user and password to login, hit enter and kdm would show me a little window saying "Failed to load session "gnome" "... Why is that, There's no Gnome on this machine, it's Kubuntu...
What's going on here

PS: A repeated apt-get update, apt-get dist-upgrade and apt-get upgrade didn;t fix anything.

Just hed to choose KDE from the blue down arow which got e logged in smoothly...

but is there anyway to get this gnome thing over with

i tried installing the gnome components which i uninstalled but still nothing happened ?!
