System Notification Helper keeps trying to install Flash

Everytime I launch Rekonq web browser the System Notification Helper pops up a window which recommends I install Flash to improve functionality. The first time it popped up I clicked OK and it said that it successfully installed but I kept getting the notification. I decided to try to install Flash via the terminal. According to the package manager the flash plugin is installed on my system but I am still getting the Notification at every launch. Any ideas on what is causing this? Thanks in advance.

that’s a known quirk .......their should be a tick box on that window to "never show again"..... tick it

I don't see a '"never show again" box. On the message window there is a tick box next to Flash and at the bottom the options are to either Install or Cancel. I guess I'll just have to deal with this very minor annoyance for now. Thanks for the speedy reply!

Hummm maby my memory fail’s me ....it's been a long time sense I'v seen it .
when that pops up is their an icon associated with it in the system tray? if so left click the icon in the system tray and the option should be their.

When the SNH (System Notification Helper) pops up, look in your system tray - you should see an SNH icon in there. Right click it and choose "Never show again".

Unmark in System settings → Service manager → Startup Services → Notification helper. I also unmarked Update notifier and Muon notifier. I check for updates manually usually once a week and this is enough for me to feel updated . There are also settings for how often Muon checkes for updates in Moun Update Manager → Settings → Configure Muon Update Manager.

@vinnywright and HalationEffect: I tried to right click the system tray icon with no luck but I am dual-booting on a PowerBook G4 and the touchpad has some issues of it's own. But that's another story for another thread. Ctrl-click didn't work either. BUT!!...

Many thanks to gnomek as your advice worked! No more annoying install flash nonsense at launch of rekonq. I am going to mark this thread as SOLVED! Thanks for the guidance
