Network-Manager not showing any of my wifi connections or dropping them.

    Hi folks,

found a new issue last night. I found that network-manager would start my wifi network OK, but it was horribly slow. Then after a short time it would drop.

Sometimes it would show up on the available list, other times (and now mostly) would not.

This morning, there is nothing in the list again even though iwlist scanniing shows both channels as being available.

I've tried sudo service network-manager reastart a few times but no change.

    Any idieas?

    Ta

    Peter.

My wireless is an 802.11bgn. I had it set to auto. "n" got chosen. The connection behaved like yours. I logged into my wireless as admin and set it to transmit as "g". My bandwidth is 15Mb/s so setting the wireless to 54Mb or less (g) didn't matter.

If that doesn't work or isn't the problem there are other things to look at.

What kind of network card do you have, and what driver is it using? Let's see the output of
      Code:
      sudo lspci -k
