Modem will never connect on it's on when turned on!
Any ideas to try to get modem to connect when first turned on?
99% of the time it will not connect from a cold boot.
To get it to connect I unplug the power connection and plug it back in
immediately and it will connects really quick, most of the time before my
system is up and running. I'm judging that by the lights on the modem that are
lit up.
It acts the same no matter what operating system I have on my PC. I've had
six different flavors of Linux installed and I don't think the system mattered.
With Grub one I had it set not to time out and the modem I know was connected
long before I decided which flavor I was going to try that day.
