    upgrade 12.04.2

Is there any serious reason upgrade from kernel 3.2 to kernel 3.5, which is current kernel at Kubuntu 12.04.2, with exception of better HW compatibility?

On LTS Harware Enablement Stack is recomanded the following upgrade command:

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install linux-generic-lts-quantal xserver-xorg-lts-quantal
Is this safe way, in the case of active proprietary NVDIA driver 304.88? Is there any simple way how to revert this upgrade back? See here, for more info.

Edit: kernel upgrade is without any problems, but the X-server upgrade is completely impossible, due to the big number of dependency issues .

So, is there any safe and reliable method how to upgrade from 12.04 to 12.04.2? Especially X server! I expect better support in case of LTS distribution!!!

There's no requirement to upgrade to the new xorg/kernel. The LTS support will continue without it. If your concern is reliability then don't upgrade.

Chances are, if you're not aware of a reason to do this upgrade, you probably don't need it.

Dont upgrade xserver to xserver-xorg-lts-quantal. It will break Kubuntu:
